The blue single use masks are made with ptfe.. Polytetrafleuroethylene. The primary chemical used to make them is a carcinogenic compound known as C8 or pfoa.. C8 was replaced with a chemical known as GenX also a carcinogenic compound . I say this as a former chemical operator for DuPont.
