It means....read the Bible. In truth, one can't really love someone or, hate someone that you don't truly know. Even God. Otherwise, and this is seen often both relating to God and many other things, people can either love (or hate) something without really even knowing what it is. Infatuation comes to mind. Knee jerk racism comes to mind as well.
The media is the master of mis-direction. They are "brilliant" at keeping people from knowing the real truth about various things, but, getting people to either love, or hate, the things that they want them to love or hate. The media knows....if they let people really see things as they are, most things would easily go the other way.
Sadly, when we were looking for a church, we probably went to at least 4 before we found one that actually read at least a scripture from the Bible at service. The saddest part is those people have entrusted themselves to the pastor and that church. That's their choice. In doing so, however, many think they're getting to know God. In many cases, in fact, they're not. They're just getting to know the pastor who is cow toeing to the people who pay him or her. Those people bend to the congregation, who bend to a decayed society.
"God is everywhere." Yes, but, we do have to search, actively. And, lots of "things" say they are of God and from God and are not. The only way to know this is to know God yourself.
I couldn't agree more! Far too many feel good churches and many dont even touch on the Bible.
We can go directly to God and His written word. He is readily available to us.
