Exactly right... Very sad. In America, all this happened when good people decided to stop speaking up. The "death" of saying "Merry Christmas" was the last straw...the acceleration of our decline from that point is amazing!
When did we stop being a Christian country? Maybe it was then. For our grandparents, this land is now unrecognizable...
I was just telling Rick today I'm so thankful my parents are gone. My dad wouldn't have handled this well.
Yes, and why would he? Many of these people stood up to Hitler. Stood up to the Japanese after Pearl Harbor. The WORKED through the Spanish flu and never DREAMED of hiding under the bed as America is doing now.
Those people knew what hardship and sacrifice were. Back then, our churches were FULL on Sunday and people were singing! And, they all said "Merry Christmas" with pride and love.
Somewhere after that, we went really wrong, as a nation. Some say, maybe, it's because things were too easy for us for too long? Post war prosperity gave way to something not good? Or, maybe it's just "time" for things to be as they are? For sure, compared to previous generations, America now has the time and resources to invent their own problems and grievances rather than deal with ones that are more tangible for more people.
